I don’t know why but thinking of Paolo Uccello! Flat and monochromatic surfaces, which generate two different visions in the difference of ninety degrees. A picture that does not change its opinion but contains more than one, a lenticular image. I wanted an unstable work that wasn’t sitting on a nail and that could produce a kind of sliding and refresh the eye. I was looking for a formal simplicity but a wealth of discrete content, a way that would create a sort of sliding, of disorientation.
