The market for these postcards covers the whole of Europe and goes back to the colonial tradition which, along with many other goods, also offered this product or at least invited you to pick it up on the spot. Real publishing companies, some still active, which, for over a century, seem to be telling you “Come! This is what you find if you come here ”.
