I have removed small areas of white plaster from the walls of various spaces. I perform these strips in places connected to the world of art and culture in general, in academies, museums, art galleries, collectors’ homes, churches, etc.
Each strip takes its name from its original setting, thus generating “Academy White,” “Gallery White,” “Museum White,” etc.
They are wall skins that, over time, have “seen and experienced” everything that has passed through them. Surfaces that have savoured the backs of paintings, interacted with works hung opposite or placed on the floor, and heard criticisms and comments, pleas, derision, and praise for works and artists. They are accumulators of energy that continue their cycle of recharging and releasing.
