A barrier helps control and regulate traffic flow in restricted-access areas, level crossings, etc.

By controlling entry and exit, an automatic barrier ensures smooth passage and provides greater overall traffic safety by preventing intruders from entering. These automatic control systems promote a peaceful and serene existence for the community within the controlled perimeter.

A street in the city center is closed to the public by a series of barriers arranged alternating on the right and left. At each passage, the barriers, individually controlled by photocells, are triggered and trap the citizens for a few moments. When they are raised, the individual barriers are positioned at the greeting corner (Angolo del saluto, 2006).
