More than an object, the Perch is a place where one can freely stop and take a position. It’s a rest area whose shape resembles six different support surfaces, each corresponding to a different mode of rest. You can lean on it by resting on one or both elbows. You can rest on it by resting your elbow or forearms sideways with your hands clasped. Finally, you can rest on it by pressing the palm of your hand against the surface or by resting on the backs of your fingers. In each case, the common purpose is to feel the pressure of leaning against a reliable support that focuses attention on postural pleasure and allows the mind to wander and the gaze to lose itself in everything around us.

The installation includes a metal turnstile and six plates/imprints on which to lean. The user can choose and place the ideal plate/imprint on the turnstile and assume the pose suggested by the imprint itself. All the installation components are neatly stored in a wooden container that preserves their integrity and makes them functional.
Installation times are subject to individual preferences and have no specified or recommended duration.
